Hi Robyn, Thanks for the RAIN DOGS BOOKS plug. Next time feel free to introduce yourself. To all the naysayers out there: Gisborne is a great small city to live for a multitude of reasons to include the freshest organic fruit and veg, two film cinemas, seven book stores, a vast public library, a number of art galleries, cheap rent, many beaches within a bike ride from CBD, countless live bands, a progressive DC, a fantastically curated museum, lots and lots of cafes, many bars, maraes, vineyards, fresh air, space, clothing boutiques, settled weather and much more. Can we subsist in our little reclusive abundance without you? It's a matter of perspective. Bye for now - T. W. Player

Emma, sorry, just to be clear: is that a tourist guide that is not very many pages long, or is it a guide to Gisborne for really short tourists? Cos I'm a bit confused...

...i dunno, I reckon Robyn's got it just about sussed. Seems to me that she's packed more into a visit to Gisborne than most people do in a whole lifetime. Why, she went to the gallery and a whole 2 cafes. And stayed a night there too. Last time I went there I just bought a can opener and kept on going...

I am currently being employed to write, among other things, a short tourist guide to Gisborne. You're not, it has to be said, helping enormously.
